Maris Otter barley was introduced in 1965 and is one of the oldest varieties still used to produce high quality malt for breweries around the world. It is particularly popular amongst craft brewers due to its ease of use and marketability. It is the perfect base malt to create traditional real ales.
100% British Maris Otter barley specifically malted for the needs of the craft brewer. Smaller designated craft malt batches are malted in the Boby Malt House in Bury St Edmunds, UK to achieve a unique Maris flavour with a deeper colour and a sweet biscuit flavour. Contains gluten.
