Milling

You have chosen your malt and want to proceed to beer making. What happens next? The first step is to mill the malt to the ideal particle size. This allows the starch inside to dissolve in the brewing water more easily. This is broken down into sugar and subsequently converted into alcohol using yeast. Milling is an intensive process, but crucial to your final yield. Be sure you have the right tools for the job!
