This CaraMalt is produced at the Pauls Malt Ltd. plant in Knapton, North Yorkshire, UK. CaraMalt is produced in much the same way as Crystal but the final roast stage is extended and carried out at lower temperatures to meet the requirements for lower colour, higher extract and higher moisture.
Captains Classic provides caramel sweet flavours to beer, as well as additional body and mouth feel. No enzymatic potential. Contains gluten.
