Belgomalt Pure local

The Pure Local team is a group of motivated Belgian farmers, maltsters and agronomists who want to bring brewing barley back to the Belgian soils. With a passion for nature, cereals and regenerative  farming practices, they manage to grow high quality barley on Belgian soil. Protecting natural sources and climate are key.

Belgomalt Creative series

In the Creative Series Belgomalt experiments with different ingredients and tastes to generate new malts.

The Gingerbread Cookie Infusion Malt has warming aromas stemming from generous additions of cinnamon and ginger into the malting process, balanced by further additions of nutmeg, allspice and cloves.

Belgomalt Pilsen

The finest European malting barley, malted in the Gembloux malt house in Belgium. Robust pale base malt with ideal protein content for head formation and strong enzymatic activity for good yield.

Belgomalt Pure Local Pilsen

High quality malted barley grown on healthy local soils. Together with motivated local farmers, Belgomalt is bringing brewing barley back to the Belgian soils. Regenerative agriculture is key.

Belgomalt NO-OX

Base malt that is comparable with the Pilsen malt. By using this malt, you will avoid oxidation during mashing which will result in a more flavour stable beer that will have a longer shelf life.

Belgomalt Pale Ale

Pale Ale malt is kilned longer than Pilsen malt which results in a deeper colour. This malt gives a golden colour to the beer.

  • Usage: Pale ale, IPA
  • Available in 1, 5 and 25 kg

Belgomalt Vienna

Vienna Malt is made with much the same process as Pilsner malt, but with kilning at a slightly higher temperatures for flavour and colour development. A rich, aromatic malt that will lend a deep colour and full flavour to your beer.

Belgomalt Munich

Munich malt has a modified germination programme and is kilned at higher temperatures. The higher melanodin content creates a dark, aromatic malt with deep nutty, malty and biscuit flavours.

  • 10-60% of the mix
  • Usage: German Lager, full bodied Dark Lager or Amber Ale
  • Available in 1, 5 and 25 kg

Belgomalt Wheat Malt

The high protein content of wheat malt imparts a pleasant full mouth feel and improves head stability. Wheat Malt can be added in small amounts to Ales or Lagers to improve head retention and it is the core ingredient for wheat beers.

  • 4.5 - 5.5 EBC
  • 3-6% of the mix to improve head retention, 40-70% for wheat beers combined with base malts
  • Usage: Wheat Beers, Weizen, Ales, IPA, American Pale Ale
  • Available in 1, 5 and 25 kg

Belgomalt Creative Series Gingerbread Cookie Infused malt

With warming aromas stemming from generous additions of cinnamon and ginger into the malting process, the Gingerbread Cookie infusion malt is balanced by further additions of nutmeg, allspice and cloves. As with home baked gingerbread cookies, the secret ingredient, a small addition of black pepper, rounds things off beautifully.
