When all-grain brewing using large quantities of wheat, oats or other coarse grains, the filter bed can become easily clogged, which makes lautering very difficult. BREWFERM steam-sterilised rice hulls (or rice husks) are the ideal solution: these rice hulls do not affect the flavour at all and can be used to improve the lautering of the mash:
Professional users with a separate lautering tun can line the bottom with a layer of rice hulls approximately 2 cm thick, add water to cover, and then add the mash and start the lautering process.
Attention: Fragile, delicate, heavy or oversized items cannot be sent by parcel shipment, but are delivered by pallet. Our customer service department will contact you to arrange shipment and align the rate.
